Cody Rhodes comments on AEW Dynamite possibly moving to Monday Nights

AEW Co-Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes did an interview with 11Alive in order to promote AEW Dynamite. This is where the fun began.

He was asked where he sees AEW in five years, which he noted that he would like to see AEW in five years be on a different night and competing in the same fashion as “they are” [WWE].

Rhodes talked about how it’s not a situation where he doesn’t love Wednesday nights but sees the real players that AEW has and data backs that up. He added that the promotion isn’t lying about the revolution anymore because they’re supported by fans.

“In five years, who knows, if we had a random storm situation or something popped up and we had to put Dynamite on a Monday night. If that was to happen in this current threshold, I’d still be very confident in what we can do.” He added that he would be confident in the AEW talent being up for the challenge.

It’s already been officially announced that  AEW and TNT reached an extension Dynamite to stay on the TV network through 2023. This is despite not being on the air for a whole year and going head-to-head with WWE NXT.
