It seems like for the last few months the hot topic of discussion among fans is what Matt Hardy will do when his contract with WWE expires.
The former WWE Tag Team Champion is headed towards his exit from the company as his current deal expires on March 1st.
It’s been reported that money isn’t an issue for Hardy when trying to decide whether he will sign a new deal with the company. Instead, it’s about what the company has planned for him on television.
He has been hinting at this direction in videos as part of a series on his YouTube channel and tweets. WWE wrote him off of TV after recent attacks by Randy Orton on Raw.
Hardy shared a video addressing Orton’s attack on him via Instagram. AEW World Champion Chris Jericho wrote in the comments, “Stay home Matt…,” with a thumbs down emoji.
Hardy would later respond, “I’ll go or stay wherever I want. Worry about yourself.”
Although not confirmed, there is speculation that Hardy could be revealed as the leader of The Dark Order should he sign with AEW.
