The Big Show claims WWE locker room environment is ‘too friendly’

Today’s WWE locker room is completely different from what it used to be during the company’s heyday.

One man who can attest to this is former WWE Champion The Big Show. Show was around during a time when everybody was competing with each other to get that top spot. Speaking on “Broken Skull Sessions” with WWE Hall Of Famer Steve Austin, Big Show said today’s locker room is “too friendly” and people are too comfortable just working for WWE.

Show wants to see more aggression from the locker room, pointing to guys like Drew McIntyre as perfect examples.

“It’s too nice. Too friendly,” said Show. “People are too comfortable and too happy to be working there. Vince will tell you himself, ‘if you don’t step on toes, you’re never gonna make it in this business.’ I wanna see some toe-stepping. I’m not saying be a dick in the locker room.

“I wanna see somebody that stands up, does business, and has that drive that, if he has to eat through somebody, that’s fine. We’re not all friends. We’re here to make money. I think we’re making good progress with somebody like Drew McIntyre. I’ve always liked Drew.

“He looks like a million bucks, he works like a million bucks. He’s not out there passing out flapjacks. I’m not knocking New Day, they’re great athletes and entertaining. I’d like to see Big E make a presence of his own. I’d like to see him get a little more aggressive.”

McIntyre’s attitude certainly seems to be paying off, as he has secured himself a WWE Championship match against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 this April.
