The WWE crew arrived early today for tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown in Boston, MA. Goldberg will appear on the show to possibly plant the seeds for his WrestleMania match. The original plan was for Wyatt to defend the title against Roman Reigns in one of those main events. In fact, this had been the plan for several months with the idea being that Wyatt was supposed to be an unstoppable monster until he wrestled Reigns.
After his loss to Goldberg, Wyatt sent out the following tweet:
“Life is a circle. No matter what beast you make of yourself or how bright one side is, inevitably the dark side comes again. But the beauty of the circle is, round we go.”
There has been a lot of backlash towards WWE on social media from fans who believe it’s counterproductive to have a 53-year-old former WCW star beat one of the hottest acts in the company.
Vince McMahon clearly felt that changing things up was best for WrestleMania as they are hoping to make a deal to sell the streaming rights for their pay-per-views. Click here for the updated WrestleMania card with news on rumored matches.
