Bray Wyatt responds to fan who says WWE is destroying their characters

This week on Friday Night SmackDown, The Usos defeated SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Miz and John Morrision in a non-title match just one day after they won the titles at Super ShowDown in Saudi Arabia. For whatever reason, this was done to set up a Tag Team Elimination Chamber match featuring the champions Miz and Morrison vs. The New Day vs. The Usos vs. Lucha House Party vs. Heavy Machinery vs. Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.

There has been a lot of fan backlash on social media towards WWE in the last 48 hours after the decision was made to have Bray Wyatt drop the Universal Championship to Goldberg in a short match.

WWE is apparently trying to rebuild Wyatt by putting him in a match against John Cena but he apparently agrees with fans who say that the company is tearing down their characters.

A fan tweeted the following: “You booked your brand new tag champs to lose clean in a non-title match? Are they trying to completely destroy their characters?”

Bray, who was not tagged in the tweet, responded simply by saying, “yes.”

WWE sees Roman Reigns vs. Goldberg as a bigger marquee match for WrestleMania but there is an argument to be made that having a 53-year old beating one of the hottest characters in the company is counterproductive.

As previously noted, the changes to the top WrestleMania matches were made by Vince McMahon in the last week. Click here for spoiler news on more matches scheduled for WrestleMania.
