WWE Friday Night SmackDown overnight ratings up for John Cena’s return

The overnight ratings are in for Friday’s WWE SmackDown episode from Boston, MA at the TD Garden. This marked the return of John Cena on WWE television.

The episode drew an average of 2.717 million viewers, which is up from last Friday’s SmackDown episode that did an average of 2.490 million viewers.

The first hour saw it pull in 2.736 million viewers, hour two dropped to 2.697 million viewers.

It also pulled in an average of 0.80 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which was #1 for the night. That is up from the 0.70 rating in the 18-49 demographic the show did last week. 

SmackDown was #8 for the night among the networks in viewership, the same from last week’s #8 ranking. 

It was behind American Housewife, 20/20, Hawaii Five-O, Magnum P.I., Blue Bloods, The Blacklist, and Dateline NBC among the top shows on network television. 

It should be noted that this is the overnight number and the actual rating won’t be released until Monday.
