WATCH: Goldberg comments on fans being critical of his WWE Universal Title win

WWE Universal Champion Goldberg made an appearance on WWE The Bump this week where he spoke about his latest match under the WWE banner and his next title defense.

The legendary pro wrestler dethroned Bray Wyatt to win the strap at the WWE Super ShowDown pay-per-view event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at the Mohammed Abdou Arena on the WWE Network.

With such a win over a fan-favorite star, his victory was met with a critical backlash from fans.

“I’d love to see them do it, at any age, let alone at 53. I answered a phone call and I did whatever I had to do to get ready in a short period of time and provide a little bit of Goldberg out there. Fortunately, I was able to do it. I’m looking forward to the next one because I get four weeks instead of three weeks to prep for it.

He later added, “If I get a phone call and I believe that I can still do what I did back in the day to at least an acceptable level, then I’m not going to say ‘No.’ If you give me a challenge, I’m going to take it.”

Goldberg will make his next title defense against Roman Reigns in one of the top matches at WrestleMania 36.
