A very unique stipulation is planned for Drew McIntyre vs. Dolph Ziggler at WWE Extreme Rules

WWE has already confirmed that Drew McIntyre will make his next defense of the WWE Title against Dolph Ziggler at its next pay-per-view event, Extreme Rules.

However, a stipulation for the contest has yet to be picked. Because of the theme of the pay-per-view event, the top matches will have special gimmicks. This contest will be no different.

While WWE had teased that the match stipulation would be revealed on Monday’s episode of Raw, that didn’t happen. Fast forward to Wednesday’s edition of WWE’s The Bump, Ziggler made an appearance and during it, he teased something special for the upcoming championship encounter.

Towards the end of the interview, Ziggler was asked about the stipulation for the match, which he then asked members of the panel what they would like to see. One stipulation was McIntyre not being able to use his finisher, Claymore Kick, while another was an Ironman Match. Kayla Braxton threw like a food fight or something to do with food.

Ziggler stated, “Just know, if I can get this through and cleared by WWE, it will be something never been done before and I will be taking full advantage because it’s something..I would be stupid to pick a normal match that we’ve seen before.”

As of this writing, there’s no word yet on what the exact stipulation will be, but WWE will likely reveal it on next week’s episode of Raw.

The WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, July 19, 2020 in Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center. You can watch the entire interview by clicking on the player below:
