The latest on status of WWE WrestleMania 37 in California

WrestleMania 37 is scheduled for March 28, 2021, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, but with the coronavirus outbreak still going on, things are still up in the air.

WrestleMania 37 show is not guaranteed to happen in the city. Back in April, WrestleVotes reported that WWE had begun researching a plan on an alternative site to host WrestleMania 37.

At the time, there was speculation that Tampa could be in the running to host the show in 2022 if WWE is able to run Los Angeles next year. Another belief was that if WWE can’t hold the show in California as planned then Tampa could get the show earlier because WrestleMania 36 got moved from Tampa to Orlando.

The latest update also comes from WrestleVotes, which noted that WWE is still planning to run Los Angeles next year. However, they want a decision made by mid-December from the state about large scale gatherings. If the state doesn’t allow large scale gatherings then the show would have to be moved.

“WrestleMania 37 / Los Angeles update: WWE is still very much planning to run the event as scheduled. However, they don’t want this determination looming. Heard internally WWE would like a decision by mid-December from the state of CA on large scale gatherings. Probably not good.”

Los Angeles recently shut down to the county again by not allowing people to dine inside of restaurants and be in gyms, bars, and other businesses.
