Stone Cold Steve Austin returning to WWE TV when fans are allowed back at shows

One of the biggest names in the history of professional wrestling will be returning to WWE TV but it won’t happen until fans are allowed back at arenas.

WrestlingNews.co was told that several ideas were pitched and discussed regarding the first Raw and SmackDown with fans back. The feeling is that they need to put on pay-per-view quality shows to bring back the fans who have tuned out over the last couple of months during the pandemic.

WrestlingNews.co was told that Vince McMahon wants Brock Lesnar to wrestle on the first Raw back with fans with the hopes of drawing a big rating.

WrestleVotes is reporting that there are plans to honor Stone Cold Steve Austin when fans return to shows. WV reports that he would be honored in a similar way that Triple H was honored on SmackDown back in April. WWE will produce new merchandise along with Austin’s appearance.

It’s still unclear when fans will be back at shows but, as of last week, Vince McMahon was still targeting for September.
