WWE Raw star moved to NXT, Vince McMahon has his eye on a new Superstar

WWE has quietly moved a Raw Superstar back to NXT.

A couple of months ago, it looked like WWE was going to do something with Brendan Vink and Shane Thorne because they were briefly involved with MVP in Raw storylines. The plan at the time was that MVP was eventually going to turn on them but those plans were scrapped and it may have had to do with Paul Heyman being ousted since some of his ideas were scrapped when Bruce Prichard took over.

WWE has announced that Thorne will wrestle Bronson Reed this Wednesday night on NXT. Thorne is now listed as part of the NXT roster on WWE.com.

Meanwhile, Brendan Vink is not listed on any of the rosters. It’s unclear what is next for him but it is no secret in WWE that people in management love him.

Vince McMahon is said to like him because of his size (he’s 6’5 from Australia) but he’s willing to go slow with him. A WWE source described Vink as the perfect wrestler who is well-spoken and he is someone, like Drew McIntyre and John Cena, who looks great on camera and would carry himself like a star when he’s booked for mainstream TV interviews.

Dave Meltzer reported last week in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that McMahon feels that now is the time to start creating new stars.
