It appears that WWE has locked down a location for this year’s SummerSlam.
We noted last Friday that WWE officials met to hopefully get plans including a location for this event finalized. Since that time, there had been no update on how that meeting went until now.
The company had planned to hold SummerSlam at the TD Garden in Boston. However, that wasn’t possible due to the ban on large gatherings in the state.
WWE had also gone looking for other states in the northeast part of the United States to see if they could host this show with fans but found challenges in the process because of spikes in cases for COVID-19.
WrestleVotes reported today that it appears SummerSlam will indeed not take place in Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center. Here’s the report:
“I’ve been told by 2 different sources over the weekend that the feeling is SummerSlam will be happening outside the PC. Seems like WWE found a location… Northeastern part of the US. No word on if fans will be in attendance or not just yet.”

Two matches have been announced for the show including WWE Champion Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton. With just weeks left until the show takes place, WWE will be announcing more matches on television.
Based on this report, we could also be getting an announcement on the location of SummerSlam in the near future.
