Possible location for this year’s WWE SummerSlam

The saga continues regarding where this year’s WWE SummerSlam will be held as Vince McMahon wants out of Florida.

It’s been well documented that the WWE Chairman doesn’t want to hold the show in Orlando at the WWE Performance Center. Instead, he has been looking to find an outdoor location in order for fans to attend the show.

WWE has been looking to find a place in the Northeastern part of the United States, but it hasn’t been as easy as they had originally thought it was going to be.

That might’ve changed as Dave Meltzer noted on Tuesday’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that Atlantic City, New Jersey is being targeted as a possible location.

As of this writing, WWE has yet to make an official announcement on the new location. There’s no word on whether WWE will sell tickets for fans to attend or if tickets will be given away.

WWE holds the SummerSlam pay-per-view event on Sunday, August 23, 2020. Here’s the latest card:

WWE Championship Match:
Drew McIntyre (champion) vs. Dolph Ziggler

WWE Raw Tag Team Championship Match:
The Street Profits (champions) vs. Andrade & Angel Garza

WWE United States Championship Match:
Apollo Crews (champion) vs. MVP

Singles Match:
Seth Rollins vs. Dominick Mysterio
