WWE held Raw TV tapings on Monday in order to tape this week’s episode in addition to next Monday’s show from Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center.
WWE started the tapings early in the afternoon but did so in a chaotic setting. It was reported at the time that WWE was “totally unprepared” and there was “chaos from the top” in addition to things being changed “on the fly” while the script for the second show had yet to be completed.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that as of midnight EST, WWE was still filming content for next week’s Raw Underground. It was noted that there were other hosts besides Shane McMahon suggested.
Per the report, the “Underground” name had been thrown around for other projects in the past years. It was added that the majority of the main roster had no idea what was even being filmed on Monday.
As noted, Raw Underground will take place during the third hour of the broadcast. It has elements of fake MMA fights in a ring with no ropes or posts with girls dancing inside of a warehouse.
Vince McMahon is under a lot of pressure as of late due to the fall in viewership numbers of his flagship show, Monday Night Raw, which is likely to be the reason for the chaotic tapings.
