More details on Impact Wrestling viewership numbers for 2020

Dave Meltzer looked at television ratings for top United States promotions such as WWE, AEW, and Impact Wrestling thus far this year in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

It turns out that Impact Wrestling on AXS TV’s audience is currently skewing older than the audiences of other wrestling companies.

Here’s a breakdown of the average overnight viewership in addition to the 18-49 demographic, which advertisers and television networks hold in high regard, per show for each month:

January: 169,000 viewers per show – 0.04 in the key demo
February: 181,000 viewers per show – 0.04 in the key demo
March: 161,000 viewers per show – 0.03 in key demo
April: 144,000 viewers per show – 0.02 in key demo
May: 153,000 viewers per show – 0.03 in key demo
June: 141,000 viewers per show – 0.02 in key demo
July: 153,000 viewers per show – 0.03 in key demo

It should be noted that the percentage of Impact’s fans that fall into the key demo is lower than for AEW or WWE shows as Impact Impact’s key demo was just 28.8% of its audience for July.

To compare, Raw had 38.2% of its audience in that demo while NXT had 32.7%, and 34% for Smackdown.

Anthem Sports and Entertainment purchased the station last September and since that time, Impact has been reportedly the most-watched show on AXS TV.
