Booker T says Eric Bischoff should not be considered for the WCW Mount Rushmore

During the latest episode of Booker T’s “Hall Of Fame” podcast, he talked about some of the current events in wrestling including the Matt Hardy/Sammy Guevara chairshot from AEW Dynamite, thoughts on the late great Kamala, WCW’s Mount Rushmore and more.

Here are some highlights:

Booker T was asked if Eric Bischoff should be considered for the WCW Mount Rushmore:  “No.  He’s not in the conversation.  Guys like that who haven’t put time in the ring wrestling for years don’t deserve ever to even be mentioned in the thought of Mount Rushmore. That’s just my opinion on that.  You might want to create some kind of other Mount Rushmore.  The thing is like I said, Eric Bischoff did a lot for me and my career, but, I always say that when business and pleasure starts mingling with each other, it’s going to be a problem.  When Eric Bischoff stopped being the president, stopped being the boss and wanted to start being one of the boys and wanting to be one of the talents on the show, that’s when everything got clouded.  Judgment totally didn’t come into play in certain instances because you got a lot of guys around you that you think are your friends.  Eric Bischoff should have never been in a position to even be considered to be a part of Mount Rushmore.

Booker gave his thoughts on Karl Malone and Dennis Rodman in WCW:  “If I had to say which guy could have been a professional wrestler if he would have started before he played ball, I think one of the greatest big men who donned the squared circle would be Karl Malone.  Karl Malone was very talented.  He had charisma.  He looked like he could have played that role big time as one of the great big men in professional wrestling if he wouldn’t have been a great basketball player just because when he did do a little bit in WCW, Karl Malone actually looked like he knew what he was doing.  He didn’t look that big on the basketball court, but that guy was jacked.  He looked great and could have been a huge star in professional wrestling if he would have chosen to go that route.  Dennis Rodman was a gimmick. Dennis wouldn’t have lasted 5 minutes in professional wrestling if Eric Bischoff wouldn’t have been behind him.  He would have been too drunk.  Dennis Rodman was a mess when he was in WCW.  He was blitzed half the time.  He was out there, gone.  They treated Dennis Rodman like Michael Jackson in WCW.  At the time, Dennis Rodman had not lost his steam yet.  He was playing basketball and wrestling at the same time.  Big props to Dennis Rodman but as far as the wrestling goes, I would give the nod to Karl Malone.”
