It looks like WWE was not able to lock down a location outside of Florida for SummerSlam.
Dave Meltzer first reported last week that WWE was hoping to run the show in Atlantic City because McMahon really wanted to move out of the sunshine state and out of the Performance Center.
PWInsider confirmed today that SummerSlam will not be taking place in Atlantic City and the show will be held at the Performance Center.
WWE will be taping two TV shows tomorrow. Tomorrow’s tapings will cover this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown and next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw. WWE has plans to go live every week after SummerSlam.
As noted on Tuesday, there is talk of a major title change on the show and there is speculation about a possible swerve. Click here for more on the story.
