WWE files trademarks for Saturday Night’s Main Event

On August 11, WWE filed new trademarks for “Saturday Night’s Main Event.” This may mean nothing but it’s worth noting that WWE sent out a survey a couple of years ago to ask fans what they would be interested in seeing on the WWE Network. One of the options was house shows airing as Saturday Night Main Event specials.

Saturday Night’s Main Event aired in the Saturday Night Live timeslot a few times per year on NBC from 1985 until 1991. The show aired twice on FOX in 1992 before being revived on NBC  from 2006 until 2008.
