WATCH: Vince McMahon shows Rob Gronkowski how to jump off platform during WrestleMania 36 rehearsal

The WWE Network will be airing the WWE 24: WrestleMania special this Sunday.

The company released footage that will air during the special involving Vince McMahon and Rob Gronkowski.

Back in June, Fightful Select reported how Gronkowski was nervous about doing a spot during WrestleMania 36 involving the WWE 24/7 Title. WWE was doing rehearsals for the show that included this spot, which is seen in the footage.

WWE wanted him to do a spot where he would jump off a platform and they edited the footage to make it seem like he would fall onto a bunch of WWE stars. There was a crash pad for him to land on during rehearsals.

To prove to the NFL star that the spot was going to be safe, McMahon did the dive himself. It was reported that Gronk was “terrified” of the dive but McMahon convinced him that it was safe, which took a significant amount of time to do.

There’s a famous saying in WWE that McMahon wouldn’t ask anybody to do something that he’s not willing to do himself. This footage just backs up that saying. As noted, Gronkowski is no longer under contract with WWE as he is playing this season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
