Scheduled dates for WWE PPV events though the end of 2020

It appears that WWE has finalized the dates for its pay-per-view events through the end of the year.

Of course, WWE has already confirmed that they will host SummerSlam on August 23 followed by Payback on August 30th.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE plans to hold the Clash of Champions on September 27th. All of these events will be held from Orlando, Florida at the Amway Center aka the ThunderDome.

As noted, WWE’s contract with the arena is slated to end on October 30th. The events mentioned above as well as Raw and SmackDown TV events will be held from the arena.

Meltzer pointed out that the contract can also be renewed when it expires based on various factors including the COVID-19 pandemic situation and the ability of touring acts and sports teams to run arena events with fans.

WWE plans to hold three more events after October although the locations for these events are unknown. The company plans to hold the Hell in a Cell PPV on November 1st, Survivor Series on November 22nd, and TLC on December 20th.

It was well documented that McMahon really wanted to hold SummerSlam with fans, but wasn’t able to do so. Thus, they came up with the ThunderDome idea.
