WWE Championship match set for Clash of Champions PPV

This week on WWE Monday Night Raw, there was a series of matches held to determine who would go on to a Triple Threat Match later on in the show. The winner of the Triple Threat Match would face Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at the Clash of Champions pay-per-view.

Keith Lee defeated Dolph Ziggler, Randy Orton defeated Kevin Owens thanks to Aleister Black’s attack on Owens and Seth Rollins defeated Dominik Mysterio with the Curb Stomp. Prior to the Rollins/Mysterio match, Rollins yelled at Murphy to get out of the ring and out of his sight.

The show closed out with the Triple Threat Match between Lee, Orton and Rollins to determine the number 1 contender. The finish saw Lee hit the Spirit Bomb on Rollins but Orton hit Lee with the RKO and then he pinned Rollins.

As of this writing, the only match announced for Clash of Champions is WWE Champion Drew McIntyre defending against Orton.

WWE Clash of Champions will air live on the WWE Network on Sunday, September 27. The show will take place at the ThunderDome inside the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.
