Lana took to Twitter this afternoon to post a response to Dave Meltzer, who said that she was the “straw that broke the camel’s back” in regards to Vince McMahon making the decision to send a letter out to talent this week.
As noted on Friday, the letter from McMahon stated that wrestlers have 30 days to stop engaging with third parties. The letter was vague and did not specify which third parties but the assumption is that this would include Twitch, Cameo and perhaps YouTube. Many wrestlers make money from those platforms in addition to what they make from WWE.
The “straw that broke the camel’s back” statement from Meltzer implies that Lana is not the sole reason why the edict was issued this week but she appears to be one of the reasons for the ban.
Lana tweeted the following without mentioning Meltzer by name: “I am not the straw that broke the camel’s back. You know who you are and that is false ……. but thank you for writing about me…. all of you. I am your escape goat.”
