Reby Hardy provided an update on her husband Matt Hardy via Twitter and she says that he is still in the hospital and despite what was reported earlier, he does have a concussion.
She tweeted, “They needed additional imaging done after his CT. He’s still in the hospital. 1000% concussion. Anyone with eyes could have told you that tho.”
Matt was hurt after landing badly on his head when he and Sammy Guevara crashed through a table off a forklift during the AEW All Out pay-per-view. As noted earlier, the match was stopped by referee Aubrey Edwards and doctor Michael Sampson checked on Hardy. The match was restarted and then then they went straight to the finish.
During the All Out post-show media scrum, Tony Khan said that he made the call to stop the match but it was restarted after Dr. Sampson determined that Matt was fine. As you can see below, it is clear that the match should never have continued because Matt struggled to get back on his feet initially after he hit his head. It’s also clear that the spot at the end with Matt climbing up the scaffold should not have happened either.
