The reason for Carlos Colon going into the WWE Hall of Fame this year ties into the purchase of the WWC library. WWE is going to expand the WWE Network internationally by late this year or early next year so they feel that the WWC tapes will help them reach to the spanish speaking audience in latin countries. The word is that WWC sold the tapes as a way to help raise money to help the promotion so WWC may not be on stable footing since they declined to sell years ago.
The Carlos Colon induction has received media attention in Puerto Rico. Former WWE star Calito Colon will be in New Orleans for his father’s induction.
