Matt Hardy pokes fun at Vince McMahon for creating The Hardy Bros

Matt Hardy uploaded a new video on his YouTube channel where he was talking about where The Hardy Boyz rank among the greatest tag teams of all-time.

Hardy considers himself and his brother, Jeff Hardy, as the best to ever do it. He explained why in the video.

Keep in mind that he’s in character while doing the promo. The AEW star first started out by talking about The Hardy Boyz are better than The Road Warriors, New Day, and The Young Bucks.

He bragged about how they are the only tag team to hold the  WWE World Tag Team Titles, Raw and SmackDown World Tag Team Titles, Ring of Honor World Tag Team Titles, WCW World Tag Team Titles, and Impact World Tag Team Titles. He brought up how they’ve held over 40 regional titles. Hardy added that in the year 2000 they were more popular and sold merchandise than any other team in history.

This led to Hardy giving his thoughts on how Vince McMahon decided to put Jeff in a tag team with Matt Riddle as the Hardy Bros.

“As a matter of fact, Vince McMahon is so obsessed with the greatness and the popularity and the success of the Hardy Boyz that he’s created The Hardy Bros. He’s put together another guy named Matt with my brother, Jeff, to try and recreate the magic that we once had. He’s trying to confuse the marketplace because he so wishes he still had the Hardy Boyz. The Hardy Bros with Jeff and Matt Riddle that’s not gonna work. You would’ve had a better chance with a Fake Razor and Fake Diesel.

Regarding the Fake Razor and Fake Diesel reference, McMahon decided to have other wrestlers portray these characters on television when Kevin Nash and Scott Hall left for WCW.
