Despite being backstage at Monday’s Raw, several WWE stars were not used

When it was revealed that WWE was dealing with another outbreak of positive COVID-19 cases, fans started to notice who was used on Monday’s episode of Raw as well as who was absent.

WWE also had various stars such as Jeff Hardy, Riddle, Sheamus, and Keith Lee work double duty on the show. Before Raw went live on the USA Network, WWE taped two matches for this week’s Main Event – Reckoning vs. Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza vs. Akira Tozawa.

None of these stars appeared on Raw although that’s common to happen when wrestlers work Main Event. It should be noted that Garza appeared on Raw Talk later in the night.

It turns out that there were several stars backstage at the show, but simply not used. PWinsder.com has been able to confirm that the likes of Raw Women’s Champion Asuka, Raw Tag Team Champions Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander, Ricochet and Nikki Cross were among the wrestlers at Tropicana Field but never appeared on the broadcast.

It was reported by Dave Meltzer that there are at least four WWE stars including Drew McIntyre who have COVID-19 or had it recently and got over it.
