Bayley has expressed interest in working the first-ever WWE NXT Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
The former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion took to Twitter to ask Triple H, who oversees the creative for NXT, to let her work the tournament.
She did so when she wrote, “@TripleH put me in the women’s Dusty tournament.” Various fans pitched possible tag team partners for her such as Carmella and Bianca Belair, but Bayley said no.
As it stands right now, there’s no word yet on if any main roster talent will be allowed to work the tournament.
Thus far confirmed to be part of the classic include Team Ninja (Kacy Catanzaro, Kayden Carter), Mercedes Martinez and Toni Storm, Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart, The Way (Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell).
It starts next Wednesday on NXT TV as Team Ninja vs. Martinez and Storm has been booked.
