Heath Miller (former WWE star Heath Slater) was interviewed on the latest “Table Talk” podcast. Miller talked about his his “I got Kids!” t-shirt was just a big accident. Miller also gives the fans an update on his injury.
Miller was asked to talk about the “I don’t give a s**t about your kids” segment from the 8/16/16 episode of WWE Raw: “That segment put me on the map, but slapped me in my face too, literally. The whole, ‘I don’t give a s**t about your kids was supposed to be I don’t give a damn about your kids.’
I guess the crowd was into it. I got a shirt out of that segment because, and this is a fact. Everyone who knows me knows if you give me bullet points and tell me this is the ending place, I can come up with the right words to where my fans can translate and be with me. But when you hand me a damn four page script and I have to go out there and then you are changing it every hour and then 20 minutes before I go out there, I get everything that I think I have to say in my mind and you give me a new script. I’m like, what the hell is going on?
So I have this segment with Brock and Paul, and after 4 scripts, 20 minutes before I go out there, some new lines came in, I had to go out there and do my s**t because I don’t know what’s going on. My music hit. Paul is cutting a promo. Paul said his line. I said mine. Paul said his and I forgot what my next line was. I was like, oh no. I’m just like, well, you gotta shoot off the hip now baby. I pulled my guns out and I was like, ‘Damn it. All these people know I’m going to get my a*s kicked. He knows he knows he’s going to whoop my a*s. I know that, but I have to do this. I have kids. I need this job.’ Next thing I know, I guess Vince in the back was like, wow, ‘I got kids. I need this job. Hey, print that out. We need that.”
Miller went on to say, “I wish they would have a camera backstage and grab all the real s**t instead of the stuff they want people to think is real. If they would do that, my goodness, they probably would have made so much more money. I’m telling you, people love that stuff now. We are all human beings.”
