On Thursday, Impact Wrestling not only confirmed that they would be holding its No Surrender special next month, but also the first match for it.
The promotion revealed that AEW stars Private Party (Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy) will be getting their Impact Tag Team Title shot as they will challenge The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows) for the straps. The special takes place on Saturday, February 13 and will air on Impact’s streaming service, Impact Plus.
Private Party earned this title shot by becoming the number one contenders after they beat Chris Sabin & James Storm in the main event of this week’s Impact on AXS TV.
AEW President Tony Khan and Producer Jerry Lynn also appeared in the Impact Zone to scout the match. The finish saw Hardy distract the referee and Lynn interfered by holding onto Sabin’s leg as he was on the top rope. This allowed the AEW wrestlers to hit Gin and Juice on Sabin to get the win.
Anderson & Gallows confronted Private Party following the match with the show ending in a brawl involving all three teams.
This is the first match that’s been announced for No Surrender, but more matches will be revealed in the coming weeks.
