WWE is gearing up for this year’s WrestleMania, but the company reportedly has no matches planned for the show just yet. This comes at a time where WWE not only moved its location but also pushed the show back two weeks.
Typically, around this time, there are reports about some of the top matches being planned for the show. This year, that’s not the case.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE has not locked in the top matches for WrestleMania 37. The reason for that is due to there not being a real direction on both Raw and SmackDown.
It was stated that the top title matches for Raw has yet to be confirmed while the company has looked at two possible opponents for Universal Champion Roman Reigns on the SmackDown side.
Daniel Bryan is not a lock to challenge “The Big Dog” for the strap at this show and Shinsuke Nakamura is not one of the names being looked at. So there’s no word yet on the two unknown stars the company is considering.
WWE has confirmed that WrestleMania will take place over the course of two nights – Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11 – from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
