Stephanie McMahon thinks Roman Reigns vs. The Rock would be a phenomenal story

Speculation about a possible match between The Rock and Roman Reigns started last April when The Rock mentioned that he would be interested in working a match against his cousin.

Many fans want to see that match happen at WrestleMania 37, but it’s not looking likely as our own Paul Davis reported last month that since the show isn’t taking place in Los Angeles as planned, Vince McMahon would like to book the match with a stadium full of fans and do it in LA to capitalize off the extra mainstream media buzz that would come with that match.

WrestleMania 37 takes place in Tampa, Florida this April while WWE won’t return to LA for its biggest show of the year until WrestleMania 39 in 2023.

Stephanie McMahon spoke about this possible match while doing an interview with TMZ.

“I suppose there’s any chance that we’re working on anything at any time, to answer your question. It would be a phenomenal story to find out who truly sits at the ‘Head of the Table’, ya know. When you think about The Rock and his family, Roman Reigns and his family, the heritage and the lineage throughout our business of that family. Huge story and I do hope we see it play out one day.”
