WWE SmackDown star Lars Sullivan, real name Dylan Miley, has been released by WWE. PWInsider is reporting that he was quietly released last month and officials in the company confirmed the news today.
Sullivan was signed to WWE’s developmental system in 2013 and made his debut in 2017. There were plans for him to get a monster push but issues out of the ring derailed the initial plans for him.
At one point, there were plans for him to wrestle against John Cena at WrestleMania a couple of years ago but Sullivan flew himself home to Colorado after an anxiety attack and the angle with Cena never got started.
Sullivan got in some hot water because of racist and misogynist comments made years ago on a bodybuilding forum and the company fined him $10,000 before ultimately bringing him back. Sullivan did apologize to members of the WWE roster for what he said.
Sullivan resurfaced on WWE TV a few months ago after recovering from a knee injury and it looked like he was about to get another push but he disappeared again from WWE TV in November.
There’s no word on what led to WWE’s decision to release him.
