Anthony Joshua expresses interest in working with WWE

Current WBO, IBF and WBA (Super) Heavyweight Boxing Champion Anthony Joshua could be WWE bound if both sides can work out an agreement.

Joshua made an appearance on the Alternative Sport Show where he talked about a wide range of topics including the possibility of joining WWE. He looks up to Muhammad Ali so just like the boxing legend, he would be interested in having something to do with the pro wrestling company.

“That’s a great question. I’m gonna do WWE because that’s what Muhammad Ali did, so I’m gonna do WWE”

He was also asked what song he would use for his entrance music. He named Stormzy’s “Shut Up” or “Push it to the Limit” that was featured in the classic Scarface film.

In 2019, WWE worked with fellow boxer Tyson Fury as he wrestled Braun Strowman in a match held at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view event. At this same show, former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez worked a match against Brock Lesnar. While Cain lost in quick fashion, Fury did end up getting the victory.

Ironically, Joshua and Fury are trying to figure out the details to get a superfight book against each other. Ali made a few appearances in WWE, most notably, being the special guest referee for the main event of WrestleMania 1.
