MVP suffered an injury while working a six-man tag team match with Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander against Lucha House Party and Matt Riddle on Monday’s episode of Raw.
MVP needed to be helped to the back when the cameras were not on him, according to Dave Meltzer. He was then seen on crutches when he appeared on Raw Talk.
Pwinsider.com later reported that the Raw star flew to Birmingham, Alabama to see a specialist, which is typically an indication that surgery is needed. The exact injury hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it’s believed to be his knee.
MVP took to his Twitter account to deny that he went to see surgeons in Alabama. He wrote the following:
“Someone told me the “dirtsheets” are reporting I went to Alabama to see surgeons. You guys should stop reading what those idiots report. They’re always wrong.”

WWE has yet to comment on the injury, but we’ll pass along more information when we hear more about his status.
