A lot has happened with John Cena and Nikki Bella since they announced their separation in 2018. They started dating back in 2012 and were engaged for a year before it was called it off.
Cena married Shay Shariatzadeh in October 2020 while Bella is engaged to Artem Chigvintsev and had her first child last August.
When Cena and Bella were dating, the former WWE Champion had made it clear that he didn’t want to have children because he didn’t want to be an absent parent while focusing on his work. This was one of the reasons he and Bella split up.
However, Cena has changed his mind on the subject as he talked about it in an interview with The U.S. Sun.
“I’m a little bit older, a bit wiser. I’m realizing there is life and life exists and it’s beautiful — and I think part of that is being a parent, so we’ll see.”
It was reported by HollywoodLife via a source close to Cena that Bella had nothing but well wishes for Cena and his wife. The source stated, “no matter what decisions John makes, that is his and Shay’s business. Nikki is happy for him and wishes him all the best, she’s happy living her own life.”
It was reported Bella realizes people change in life, and they make the best decisions based on where they’re at during that point in time. The former WWE Divas Champion reportedly thinks becoming a father is an “amazing blessing” that would bring joy to Cena.
The report stated Cena is at a different point in his life these days compared to where he was at while still dating Bella and thinking more about starting a family. It should be noted that while Cena is considering a family, it doesn’t appear the couple is actively trying to make that happen, but perhaps it will in a few years.
