Vince McMahon had plans for a male WWE star to play the role of Sister Abigail

For years, there have been rumors on potential WWE plans for the Sister Abigail character.

At one point, there was talk of resurrecting the character for Wyatt’s storyline with Randy Orton a few years ago and there were rumors that Santana Garrett or Alexa Bliss would be slotted into the role. Liv Morgan was also rumored for the role at one point.

Apparently, there were serious talks about resurrecting Sister Abigail but with a male playing the role.

During an interview with Metro.co.uk, former WWE star Mike Bennett said that WWE was about a week away from bringing the character to life and the plan was for him and Eric Young to be part of Bray’s stable.

Bennett said, “Early on when Bray Wyatt turned into The Fiend, Vince was always high on having Bray lead a group for some reason – he always wanted him to lead a group. We were about a week away from making it happen where me and Eric Young were gonna be part of Bray Wyatt’s group. We were gonna actually be – they were gonna bring to life the puppets.”

Bennett continued, “Each puppet was gonna represent an actual person. I don’t remember, there were talks that I was gonna be Sister Abigail and Eric Young was gonna be a buzzard.”

Bennett said he was ready to sink his teeth into his new role but, as is the case for many storylines, the plans changed.

As of this writing, Wyatt is still off TV and hasn’t been seen since losing to Randy Orton at WrestleMania. Meanwhile, Bliss is one of the featured characters on Raw doing an offshoot of what she was doing with Wyatt earlier this year.
