WWE is going to release the trademark on Chelsea Green’s name

After Chelsea Green publicly commented on the trademark rights dispute over her real name with WWE, she received good news.

The company previously trademarked her real name for wrestling purposes in November 2020, which was around the same time that she made her SmackDown debut and signed a new contract.

However, earlier this week, WWE sent a reply to the Office Action (via USPTO) that states that she gave them consent in November to trademark her name. She did trademark the name this past April.

Fightful Select reported Sunday night that WWE contacted her this evening to let her know that they were going to release the trademark on the name so that she could use it. Green confirmed the news to Fightful and plans to talk about it on the next episode of her Green With Envy podcast.

After being let go by WWE earlier this year due to budget cuts, she has since joined ROH and returned to Impact Wrestling.
