Fans are less than a week away from WWE SummerSlam, which will feature Bobby Lashley defending the WWE Title against Goldberg in one of the top matches featured on the card.
Goldberg was last seen in action when he lost to then-WWE Champion Drew McIntyre this past January at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event.
Dave Meltzer noted in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that with Lashley being 45-years-old and Goldberg being 54-years-old, it is likely the second oldest combined age of any WWE Title match in history.
The match with the first oldest combined age to compete for the WWE Title in a match was with Hulk Hogan, then 48, defending against Ric Flair, who was 53, in May 2002.
WWE SummerSlam takes place on Saturday, August 21 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada at Allegiant Stadium on Peacock.
