WWE Survivor Series announced for Barclays Center in Brooklyn

As expected, WWE will hold its Survivor Series pay-per-view event on Sunday, November 21, 2021, from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

WWE confirmed the news today in a press release that also announced over 30 live events for the rest of 2021. Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men podcast first indicated in June that the arena would be getting a PPV event this year then in July reported that the show would be Survivor Series.

This will be a big event as The Rock is reportedly planned to be there. It will commemorate the 25th anniversary of his debut with WWE as he worked his first televised WWE match in 1996 by being part of a traditional Survivor Series bout.

It’s possible that with The Rock appearing at Survivor Series, WWE could kick off the build for his match with Universal Champion Roman Reigns at an upcoming WrestleMania event. WWE reportedly wants to book a singles match between them at WrestleMania 38 or WrestleMania 39. It’s also been reported that WWE has discussed a tag team match involving The Rock and Reigns at WrestleMania 38.
