The worst kept secret in wrestling will finally reveal himself this Friday night on AEW Rampage and he seems to be having fun teasing the fans on social media.
CM Punk continues to drop hints (although we already know that he is AEW-bound) to hype Friday’s Rampage show at Chicago’s United Center.
Over the weekend, Punk dropped an “All Elite” reference during commentary at the CFFC fight and in a post sent out this afternoon on his Instagram Stories, the following numbers were included: 05, 11, 21. Coincidentally, those would be considered three of Punk’s hottest years in the wrestling business.
2005 would have been the summer of Punk in ROH and it’s also the year when he signed with WWE. 2011 is when Punk re-signed with WWE and 2021 would be the year when he signed with AEW.
So it appears that the numbers referenced below are the three times he signed a full-time wrestling contract.
