It certainly looks like AEW is going to follow the same plan they used for CM Punk ahead of Bryan Danielson’s AEW debut.
As noted earlier, in response to a “YES” chant from the fans, CM Punk said that fans will need to be a little bit more patient before they see him.
On his Instagram Stories, Punk posted a photo of himself shaking hands with someone. The photo appears to be from the mid-2000s in ROH and it looks like its Punk shaking Bryan Danielson’s hand.
It looks like AEW will be dropping teases like this ahead of Danielson’s debut. No word yet on when he might show up. There are two big shows that are possible. The shows would be AEW All Out on September 5th or AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam on September 22nd in New York City.
