WWE sent a mass text message to their roster regarding mental health services available

Following the news of the death of Shannon “Daffney” Spruill, WWE sent out a mass text message to all of their talent to remind everyone that mental health services are available with costs covered by the company.

The message, which was first posted by PWInsider, reads as follows:

“As a reminder to our Talent, if you are dealing with a difficult personal matter and would like to speak with someone to get the support you need, please don’t hesitate to contact [Counseling Company Name Withheld] at [NUMBER DELETED] or WWE Medical.”

Also, as a reminder to the talent that may need help with drug rehab services, that is also available for anyone that has ever been under contract with WWE. That applies to any current and former talent. Many former WWE stars have benefitted from this.

So, while there are many negative things you can point to when it comes to the WWE product, the fact is that there are steps that have been taken in recent years to assist wrestlers and they should be commended for that.
