Friday’s episode of WWE SmackDown from Jacksonville, FL at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena was a big show as the main event was Roman Reigns successfully retaining his Universal Title against Finn Balor.
However, Vince McMahon wasn’t present at the show. Ringside News reported McMahon “wasn’t there at all”. It was noted that the WWE Chairman was “on the phone all day long in control,” and still had the final say on everything that was presented.
As of this writing, there’s no word yet on why he wasn’t at the show.
WWE is loading up next Friday’s episode of SmackDown from Madison Square Garden as it will feature Edge vs Seth Rollins, which is a rematch from SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar’s return, and a contract signing for the Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair title match at Extreme Rules.
