WWE is kicking off the new year with its Day 1 pay-per-view event tonight (Sunday, January 1, 2022) in Atlanta, Georgia, which is a big show due to it being a Nick Khan idea.
The WWE President wants it to be like another tentpole event such as WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, Survivor Series, and Money in the Bank instead of just another pay-per-view event. WWE Chairman Vince McMahon reportedly declined pitches to make the show different with its presentation.Â
