The Usos discuss Roman Reigns testing positive for COVID-19

WWE had to make big changes to the Day 1 card because Universal Champion Roman Reigns tested positive for COVID-19. “The Big Dog” was scheduled to defend his title against Brock Lesnar in the main event.

When Reigns had to pull out of the bout, WWE added Lesnar into the WWE Championship match that made it be a Fatal 5-Way with Big E, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, and Bobby Lashley. Lesnar ended up winning the WWE Title.

At Day 1, The Usos successfully retained the SmackDown Tag Team Titles over Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Reigns’ cousins, The Usos, spoke with Sports Illustrated after the show and during it, they commented on him testing positive for the virus.

Jey: “It felt off not having the Tribal Chief around. This match was for him. We represented, and he’s going to be OK. He’s home resting, and maybe playing some Call of Duty. We’re going to see him back soon.”

Jimmy: “We opened the show, and we’re so used to seeing The Big Uce close the show. This pandemic is crazy, and all we want is for him to be safe and take care of himself.”

From all of us here at WrestleNews.co, we wish Reigns well while he battles the virus as he has beaten Leukemia and he is immunocompromised.
