Bruce Prichard explains why he has not been at recent WWE shows

On the latest Something To Wrestle With podcast, Bruce Prichard covered Chris Masters’ WWE run. Prichard also cleared up the rumors of why he was not at the last three WWE TV taping:

“I was in Cabo. It was paradise on Earth. I got a little bit of Montezuma’s revenge there, but it didn’t stop me. It was what it was. I had an incredibly beautiful, picturesque, panoramic view every single day. Good friends, my whole family, and we had an absolute blast. So to address some of the rumor and innuendo which is complete horses*t, for years, and I will go back to the ‘90s, sh*t, I’ll go back to the ‘80s, I would always save my vacation until the end of the year so that I could take vacation around Thanksgiving and Christmas.

It steals a couple of extra days because if you do it close to Christmas, Christmas is an extra day off. Then when I got married, my wife’s birthday is the latter part of November, so it’s around Thanksgiving. It’s her favorite holiday, so I like to take that time off. This year, I took it at a time when we didn’t have two SmackDowns. We prerecorded and had a comp show, so there was no TV to go to in general, so I had my vacation timed during that time to where it looked like, ‘Hey man, Bruce hasn’t been here for like three TVs in a row’, then I got the flu. I was running a fever and not feeling well. We got a great team and an incredible support system that was there. I missed three TVs.”

On why he’s been missing from the podcast:

“I did lose my voice during that time.” Bruce then confirmed that he tested negative (for Covid), and busted an eardrum in the middle of that.”
