WWE announced today that they will be returning to Saudi Arabia on February 19, 2022, for the Elimination Chamber event. WWE noted in the announcement that more details of the event will be announced in the coming weeks.
Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast was the first to report the date of WWE’s next event in the country earlier this month.
As previously reported, WWE was looking to rebrand the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view name. There were two ideas – ”WrestleMania Chamber” and “The Annual Elimination Chamber.” However, for now, the company is just referring to the event as the Elimination Chamber.
The company has a 10-year partnership with the Saudi General Sports Authority where they’re paid big money to host two events in the country per year. The previous event that WWE held in Saudi Arabia was its Crown Jewel PPV last October with the headliner of Brock Lesnar losing to Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
