During tonight’s AEW Dynamite, Santana and Ortiz told Chris Jericho that they care about Eddie Kingston and they believe Kingston made a good point when he said that Jericho and The Inner Circle held them back. They also said that they’ve been battling Jericho’s battles.
Last week, Kingston said that Santana and Ortiz are not in the Tag Team Title picture because of Jericho. It looks like this is setting the stage for Santana and Ortiz to break away from Jericho and join Kingston in a faction. Kingston, Ortiz and Santana have been friends for years and they worked together a few years back in Impact Wrestling.
Santana and Ortiz seemed to be in line to become one of the top teams in AEW during the early days of Dynamite on TNT but they have seen start and stop pushes since they joined the Inner Circle. This looks like a reset for them that will perhaps lead to a future run with the Tag Team Titles.
