Frankie Kazarian is staying with AEW as he has signed a new contract with the promotion.
Pwinsider.com reported the news today. The terms – money and length – of the deal were not disclosed.
Kazarian was among the first batch of wrestlers to sign with the start-up company in 2019 months after it was founded and before they had a TV deal with TNT.
He was part of the first-ever AEW Tag Team Champions alongside Scorpio Sky when they beat The Lucha Bros (Penta El Zero M and Rey Fenix) in the finals of the tournament to win the titles. They held the straps for 83 days before losing them to Hangman Page and Kenny Omega.
Since he split from Sky on television, he has been a singles wrestler with his most recent bout coming on last week’s episode of Dynamite where he lost to Lance Archer. He also has worked on AEW Dark and AEW Dark: Elevation to help the younger stars.
