Notes on Paige (with an apology) and other names who did not appear at the WWE Royal Rumble + Bad Bunny and Brock Lesnar notes

There were a few names rumored for the WWE Royal Rumble that did not appear on the show.

Aksana, Kaitlyn, and Jillian Hall were brought in but were not used on the show. Aksana posted a photo of herself on her Instagram Stories at the arena a few hours before the show.

In regards to Paige, I was told by a source in WWE that she was cleared and she would be in the Rumble. That obviously did not happen and I’m not sure why she was not on the show. I also was told by a reporter from another website that he heard the same thing about Paige being a surprise but he was told not to report on it. At the end of the day, I screwed up by not triple checking on this and I apologize and it will not happen again.

Paige commented about the Rumble in the tweet below:

“I’ve been a roasting fiend for the past few days. But for real. Feels awesome for so many people to wanna see me back. Trending nearly everyday of January. Fucking wild. Congrats to all the women. Main eventers. As it should be. Welcome back

Booker T sort of spilled the beans during the Kickoff show when he predicted that Brock Lesnar would win the Rumble. Lesnar was only advertised for the WWE Championship match with Bobby Lashley and not the men’s Rumble. Lesnar went on to win the Rumble match and he will challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania.

Bad Bunny’s appearance was not a well-kept secret at the arena because they were selling shirts with his likeness at the building before and during the show.

PWInsider reported earlier that there were several late changes to the Rumble matches with Vince McMahon changing certain aspects of the matches.
